Dr Abigail Chew

Dr Abigail Chew is a locally trained GP registrar who was born in Kuching, Malaysia. She completed a Doctor of Medicine (MD) at the University of Western Australia and previously completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Science (BBiomedSc) with a double major in Microbiology and Immunology and Laboratory and Pathological Medicine. She is currently undertaking fellowship training with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Dr Chew has gained broad clinical experience across multiple specialties, including Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Psychiatry, Palliative Care, Paediatrics, and Obstetrics & Gynaecology. She has worked at various sites including Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital Group, King Edward Memorial Hospital, Perth Children’s Hospital, and Silver Chain. She is committed to providing holistic, patient-centred care and enjoys the breadth of general practice. Her clinical interests include women’s health, paediatrics, mental health, chronic disease management, and palliative care. Outside of medicine, Dr Chew enjoys snorkeling, playing the guitar, and travelling.
